Isla Cozumel
About Isla Cozumel
Underwater Adventure and That Beach Life
Located off the Atlantic coast of Mexico lies Isla Cozumel. With its low-key and laid-back atmosphere, Cozumel is a super chill island perfect for a week of hanging out with friends during your grad trip. The beaches are pristine, the ocean is warm, and the diving and snorkeling is off the charts!
In fact, Isla Cozumel is a world-renown dive site featuring various species of aquatic life that you won’t find anywhere else. If, by chance, you need a break from the non-stop beach and ocean fun, the small town of San Miguel has tons of little shops and boutiques waiting to be explored.

Volunteer Abroad
Cozumel Shelter Project
S-Trip! invites travelers to make a positive impact internationally during grad trip through sustainable development and community projects. Our goal is to become North America’s largest overseas volunteer program by getting all high school graduates on a volunteer project.
Did you Know?
- 68% of children in Mexico enroll in secondary education and only half of that number actually graduate.
- 61% of the rural population of Mexico is living below the poverty line.
- Recently adding three to the list, Mexico now has 32 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which is more than any other country in the Americas.
Build and Restore
We will depart for a half-day of volunteering at a local school for children with disabilities. Community support programs like this one provide an essential service to many underprivileged youth across Mexico, but lack integral funding, which is where you can make a difference! Once you arrive, you will be greeted by friendly staff and children who will give you a brief history on the school, and explain what you will be doing.
After a tour, we'll dive right into the work! Depending on their needs, we may renovate the interior, assist with landscaping the exterior, or support their daily operations. Prepare yourself for an amazing day that will leave you with a new perspective on life in Mexico!
Check out this blog post about the great work our travelers did on the most recent Isla Cozumel trip!
The eco-garden S-Trip! volunteers constructed has been a wonderful addition to our shelter, directly contributing to our nutrition program. We are excited for them to visit again. The effort, games and laughs shared by our children and the Canadian groups is beautiful.Adriana Santo, Program Administrator Cancun Pro Kids, Cancun
