Buy A Bednet, Save a Life..August 17, 2011 by Social Media Intern
S-Trip! is proud to be working with UNICEF Canada.
It’s not something you think about all the time, but for those of us fortunate enough to be living in Canada mosquitos are simply a nuisance.
However in many parts of the world they can be lethal.
April 25 is World Malaria Day. In Africa, malaria kills one child every 30 seconds and is one of the biggest global health problems of our time. Sleeping under an insecticide-treated bed net is the most effective and inexpensive way to prevent mosquitoes from biting children and transmitting the parasite that causes malaria. UNICEF is a world leader in preventing malaria among children. To donate or to learn more about UNICEF and the Spread the Net campaign, visit www.spreadthenet.org or www.unicef.ca.
A bednet is only $10.00
Skip your grande-low fat-skinny-half moccha whatchamacallit and buy one..or two…or three…and save a life!
