The Tomato Fight

Print

La Tomatina festival is exactly what its name suggests. If you have ever had the urge to be knee deep in tomatoes and throw them at other people, this trip is for you.

Take a serene Mediterranean town (Bunol), add thousands of students and backpackers from all over the world, wait until the mayor stands on his balcony to fire the opening flare and watch in awe as dump trucks drive through the narrow streets to drop off 130 tonnes of tomatoes..welcome to La Tomatina.

Take aim and let loose with a tomato..this was the best part of my European Tour
