Language and Cultural Immersion program in Nice is designed for students who are interested in the French language, art, culture and cuisine. While living in Nice you’ll experience the French way of life shopping at local boutiques, finding your favourite café and simply enjoying the sun-drenched summer in southern France. Our program balances French language classes, cultural workshops and a full schedule of structured activities and excursions.

LIFE IN NICELocated in the South of France, Nice is the largest city on the French Riviera with a population of 450,000. Nestled right in the middle of France’s sensational Mediterranean coastline, the Côte d'Azur, Nice enjoys an average climate of 30°C in the summer months. In the summer there’s lots of action at the beach where you’ll interact with locals while relaxing and playing sports. A cosmopolitan centre of art, culture, and cuisine this jewel of the Riviera will truly become your second home and you’ll want to return again and again.
There is an endless list of sights in Nice. At the top of the list is the famous sea front boulevard (La Promenade des Anglais), which offers a gorgeous stretch of beach and dazzling views of the Mediterranean. The many outdoor cafes, restaurants and boutiques of the vibrant Rue de France pedestrian street bring alive the café culture of Southern France. The myriad of world renowned art galleries and museums bring to life Europe’s history and tradition. Further highlights include the Iconic Hotel Negresco, the bustling port, open air markets, elegant shopping and countless opportunities for water sports. Nice truly is the perfect setting for this unique learning experience, designed specifically for students interested in developing a deeper knowledge of France, its language and culture.
Live "c’est la vie" as you discover French language, art, culture and cuisine
CULTURAL IMMERSIONS-Trip! recognizes that just as much learning takes place outside the classroom as inside, which is why we organize a full schedule of cultural activities and excursions. Each day you'll be immersed in the life and culture of France as you wander endlessly through museums and galleries, enjoy a French croissant at a local cafe and watch the sunset over the Mediterranean. Afternoon are filled with cultural activities and visits to local attractions. Once per week students will travel for a half day excursion to experience another city along the French Riviera such as Antibes or Monaco. On weekends, students will travel together on full day excursions to experience all that southern France has to offer. A certain highlight will be the excursion to Cannes & Îles de Lérins where you'll discover and explore these surreal islands just off the coast.
CAMPUS LIFEMornings will be spent on campus as students receive their language lessons. Our school in France is the ideal place for pre-university students to study in Nice. The campus is located less than a 10 minutes walk from the beach. The school is air conditioned classrooms with a computer room and a cafeteria. Free computer access with internet is available at the school. Step out the doors of the school and you’re right in the action of the city near cafés, restaurants and many stylish shopping centres.
LANGUAGE PROGRAMThe academic program consists of 3 hours of French language lessons each weekday from 8.45-12.00. On arrival in Nice, students are given a classification test which determines their level of French and their subsequent class. Courses are taught in French by local instructors. No prior knowledge of French is required. Pragmatic active teaching methods are used to develop the students’ oral skills and their linguistic and cultural knowledge with emphasis on oral expression and comprehension. Teaching tactics include illustrations, situational role play, videos, analysis of current newspapers and magazines and creative exercises. The program is accredited by the French educational ministry. Students receive a certificate recognizing their achievement and a transcript. Students are eligible to receive university credit in Canada. In order to transfer their credit students must make an appeal for transfer with their university registrar by presenting their certificate and course materials. S-Trip! will assist students in completing this process.

ACCOMMODATIONAccommodation is located within walking distance of the school and there is a shuttle available daily to take to the beach and the city centre. Students are in single sex multi share rooms (3 or 4 students) with an ensuite bathroom. Each student has storage space for all their belongings during their stay. There is a common room available to students with numerous games and snacks. Security and safety is our number one priority. Therefore, residence staff are available and on supervision 24 hours a day. Students are also supervised by S-Trip! group leaders who are fluent in French, live in the residence with the students and organize various activities for the group. Group leaders are there to ensure health and safety but also to act as advisors and friends helping you adjust to your new environment. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided everyday in the residence cafeteria. Meals are prepared by an experienced culinary team.
